Scientists digging in a Namibian national park have uncovered sponge-like fossils they say are the first animals, a discovery that would push the emergence of animal life back millions of years.
The tiny vase-shaped creatures' fossils were found in Namibia's Etosha National Park and other sites around the country in rocks between 760 and 550 million years old, a 10-member team of international researchers said in a paper published in the South African Journal of Science.
That means animals, previously thought to have emerged 600 million to 650 million years ago, actually appeared 100 million to 150 million years before that, the authors said.
It also means the hollow globs -- about the size of a dust speck and covered in holes that allowed fluid to pass in and out of their bodies -- were our ancestors, said co-author Tony Prave, a geologist at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
"If one looks at the family tree and projects this backward to where you have what's called the stem group, the ancestor of all animals, then yes, this would be our great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother," he told AFP.
Prave said fossil evidence that animals emerged as long as 760 million years ago fit together neatly with what geneticists had hypothesised by looking at "molecular clocks", a means of gauging a species' age by looking at the percentage difference between its DNA and that of another species.
"The aspect of this, that's rather satisfying, at least intellectually, is that it is in broad agreement with what geneticists would tell us based on looking at molecular clocks when we should see the first advent of large multi-cellular life forms," he said.

The Missing Link
From as far back in my life time as i can remember, i have always heard stories about "the missing link" that provides a direct continuation between the living creatures on Planet Earth and the God-like creature known as Humans. (Note: that was before the word "Link" became a popular Internet term.)
Personally, i have always believed that there is a direct connection between everything on Planet Earth, counting Rocks, Water and all the Elements, Trees and all living creatures, including Mankind.
Now, i am real excited to see and hear the reaction regarding this Fossil that is being displayed and being called "The Missing Link". This and many other Fossils were unearthed about Twenty Years ago, but the Scientists needed all this time to try to figure out just what kind of a creature this really is.
In my humble opinion, it si as clear as the Nose on your face that this and all other creatures are directly related, no matter how one chooses to frame it.
Every single creature on Planet Earth has to consume another living creature, counting rocks and trees, to generate energy to continue being a living creature. No one can deny or argue with that fact. A living creature that does not consume another creature will surely die.

The Amazing Technology
When i was just a kid, there was the Vacuum Tube Radio, then the 1 Transistor Radio, that evolves to the famous 6 Transistor Radio, then the Juke-Box, Black and White Tv and a few Color Tvs and 8 Track Cassette that plays in an endless loop, and noisy Cassette Player and Recorders. Yes, that was the whole nine yards me man, that was it.
It seems like just last week, the word email did not exist, from www.com to lord knows what else. Yes! technology has come a long ways.
This Amazing Technology
For me, this age of Technology is just flaberghasting, totally amazing. In my lifetime, along with the rest of the world, i have lived through some real technological explosion.
CHANGES
It is just so amazing to see that so much has changed since July 1, 2006 or that is the date i see on my last posting. Never-the-less, it's good to be here again, even though i feel a bit like Rip Van Winkle, the fellow who went to sleep on the hill for 20 Years.

Once there was this Farmer who was out in his field working very hard, on a hot sunny day. After working for awhile, he grew tired and went to sit down under this Tree, to take a rest. He then noticed that the birds were chirping happily while they were eating the fruits from the tree, so he became curious and decided to try one of the fruit. It tasted real good...so he tried another, and soon he had eaten a lot of the fruits.
About this time his wife came along with his lunch and she saw him eating the fruits, looking revived and smiling, so she said to him, "Honey, what are you eating?", he then turned to her, looked up in the tree and said, "I don't know what this is dear, but this will make a MAN-GO"!.

Who Knows What The Real Truth Is??

Six blind men were discussing exactly what they believed an elephant to be, since each had heard how strange the creature was, yet none had ever seen one before. So the blind men found someone to get them an elephant that they may discover what the animal was really like.
The first blind man approached the beast and felt the animal's firm flat side. "It seems to me that the elephant is just like a wall," he said to his friends. The second blind man reached out and touched one of the elephants tusks. "No, this is round and smooth and sharp, the elephant is like a spear." Intrigued, the third blind man stepped up to the elephant and touched its trunk. "Well, I can't agree with either of you; I feel a squirming writhing thing, surely the elephant is just like a snake."
The fourth blind man was of course by now quite puzzled. So he reached out and felt the elephant's leg. "You are all talking complete nonsense," he said, "because clearly the elephant is just like a tree." Utterly confused, the fifth blind man stepped forward and grabbed one of the elephant's ears. "You must all be mad, an elephant is exactly like a fan." Duly, the sixth blind man approached, and holding the beast's tail, disagreed again. "It's nothing like any of your descriptions, the elephant is just like a rope." And all six blind men continue to argue, based on their own particular experiences, as to what they thought an elephant was like.
It was an arguement that they were never able to resolve. Each of them was concerned only with their own idea. None of them had the full picture, and none could see any of the other's point of view. Each man saw the elephant as something quite different, and while in part each blind man was right, none was wholly correct.
This illustration goes to show that to understand the full truth, you have to also take into account other perspectives and to be open to learning that the truth may be beyond your grasp. Thus it may be easier to realize that though life exist on all the other Planets in our Solar System and beyond, we are unable to grasp the information because it is out of our realm of comphrension, as an ant on the back of a whale, or a fly zipping by a snail.

Rejuvination of Planet Earth
History teaches that about every fifty years, the magnetic core in the center of the Earth moves around a little. When that happens, all the Electron controlled gadgets and gismoes will cease to operate normally. This means that all the Computers, Radios, TV's, Cell phones, Airplanes, Automobiles and just about every man-made objects will not operate normally. The current trend in the weather system, Earthquakes, Tornadoes and all these major changes that is happening around the world, indicates that this situation is underway, and that the Earth is difinately going through changes. The Planet is currently rejuvinating itself.

At that time, it was thought that the Earth was flat, and if you should go to the edge of the Earth, you would fall off into space and float away. During the time from about one thousand years before Jesus Christ was born, untill the early fifteenth century, there was no firm doctrine. Martin Luther, who was a great reformer, assembled the first Bible that had sixty books, taken from a collection of all the best doctrines that were available. About four hundred years after Martin Luther died, another six was added, to make a grand total of sixty six books.
God
History teaches that about Forty thousand years ago, there lived a great King whose name was Daniel O'God. This king used to treat his subjects with the best of care, and all the people loved and respected him and he ruled for a long time. When he died, his son became king and he too treated his subjects with great respect and all the people honor and loved him. Since then, the word God was always associated with any person or mythical creature that was seen to have great power and was caring and understanding. So, about ten thousand years ago, the word God became very popular, and then we had several Gods, like God of the sea, God of the Sun, God of love, God of Gods and several other Gods. About six thousand years ago, the Maccabees teaching stated that there is but one God that created the world, and ruled over all things. Then came Moses, and he enhanced this belief.
Tsunami Upheaval
As I watched the tsunami waves devastation on the TV, and on the Internet, with the rest of the world, I felt that I was really moved by the situation. Especially when I think of the fact that it could be anywhere on Planet Earth...and, it could be a lot worse. Living here in Florida, in the good old USA, and pretty much close to the sea coast, it gets a little bit un-nerving. But, not to be outdone, the rest of the world also have their problems too..like Earthquake, Tornadoes, and a whole bunch of other things. Forces of nature that we cannot control. Not to belittle the situation, but about a month ago, I came home one evening to find a whole lot of Ants lying on the kitchen counter top. They were just lying there as if they were dead. There had to be at least a couple of thousand Ants scattered all over the counter top. As I watched, I noticed that there were a few Ants frantically running around, and ever so often, they would stop and tugg on the ones that were laying there, as if to try to wake them up. I was not sure what to do, so I just left them there. In the morning when I woke up, I made my coffee around them, and left. The next evening when I came in, there was probably twice as much Ants lying there. Again I left them there, and after three or four days, I finally had to wash them down the kitchen sink. That made me feel like a killer. Then I wonder, "did all my neighbors have the same experience? and if so, how many Ants died? and why???. Is mother nature cleaning house? and if so, what else will happen???.
